for instance, if there are 23 posts and he is post number 23 and post 24 triggers an e-mail notifying him that someone replied to a thread he is suscribed to, he wants the link to take him post number 24 (or in his parlance, 'the page of our last post'), not the beginning of the thread or the end of the thread (which according to him 'gets really hard looking for the page of our last post in threads with multiple pages, especially the ones that seem to gain 10 pages a day'). Well, that is how i understand it.
