No doubt about the 1200's.. when i went to buy myself headphones i've tried both the osny's and the technics and liked the technics much much much better!!!
check both out yourself, you'll see what i'm talking about!

i'd say no to the technics
good cans, but they have a lock thing that lets the ear-things slide forward, and when that wears out, you're screwed
now, the pioneers are not to shabby for practical use

i haven't used the 1200s but i have MDR-V500 they're great i'm fond o them...

any way, take my advice and check them out for your self cause its up to you in the end...

listen to your music through both of them...

well i got MDR V700 and they kick ass... i rekon, alot of ppl hate them, but i like em... its your choice buti rekon Sony's are way yo go... PvD, Tiesto, picotto, Yahel use em....
