They all make too much for the job they do

I've seen Tiesto in his glory days and I've seen him out of his glory days, the difference is like night and day. It depends tho, on the schedule, they have a range and it depends on the hotel, dinner and the rest of that crap and how long they play for and the time of year.

Tiesto made 40K for the koolhaus night in 2001 (which was the rumor)

PvD and Tiesto make a ton of money and so does Armin and I rather get in deejays that play much cheaper, much more variety and much longer.

you think they make a fortune, try booking fatboyslim (50-100K), Tenaglia (50K min, I heard, but he plays like min 12 hr sets) and Paul Oakenfold (rediculous figures at times)

PVD costs like 60 000 dls, and for new years eve (the most important night of the year) here in vallarta he demanded 120 000 dls.

yup

but certain promoters are realizing that they can pack the club with B list deejays (much cheaper = more profit). There is only one Armin, Diggers, Tiesto, even tho most of you bedroom deejays don't think so. They can pretty much play where they want, when they want and charge what they want. Must be nice

It depends on the day of the week mostly and who's promoting. Most Dj's will milk you more if they know you can afford it. In my City armin played for $12000 U.S. Tiesto for a little over $20000 and we've had digweed for less than $4000. It depends on the circumstances.

I think it all depends on the event n size of venue. I mean..they will obviously charge more to play at a huge 90, 000 ppl dance event than at a 500 capacity club. Also the location, eg, in Ibiza, I tink a dj will charge more for a gig. I'd say the timing of the gig is also important where they will obviously charge more to play for a holiday event like newyears.
