got there around 1230 and he was already on. doh! when i got there, there was waaaaay too much bass. i could literally feel my eardrums vibrating. after about an hour or so, they either turned it down or the absolut red bulls made me forget about 'em. |
No problems getting in w/ pre-sale tickets and Sound-Bar card.
Similar experience as above comment. The bass level was too much, but after awhile I either forgot about it or just let it wrap around me. Or, the red bull and vodkas kicked in. And, damn, was it fucking hot in there or what?! The main room was extremely humid and warm...kinda uncomfortable at times, but I guess all the energy from the crowd and Digweed just made you forget about that.
It never seizes to amaze me, with Digweed's age and the long years he has been djing; his sets are still spectacular. I guess, there is some arguement of whether or not Digweed has "lost it," but last night was pretty damn decent. The crowd was just eating up every tune he dropped, and when his set was over with people started screaming, "One more track! One more track!" But, that sadly did not happen.
A lot of good tracks were played, but I couldn't recognize any of them. The only one that caught my attention to be a "crowd pleaser" was some sort of, or his own, remix of Luke Chable & Danny Bonicci's "Ride." Either way, his set was great, and I enjoyed him when I saw him with Sasha @ the Congress Theatre in 2001 as I did now. Anyone ID any of the tracks from his set?
