Its interesting, the build at the 4 minute mark around their is VERY LONG and sorta tediouse. I like the synth that comes in after it tho.
Near the beggining the low end seemed muddied under everything, like the kick sort of was a thud, it didnt have alot of definition to it.
One thing you need to work on is volume progression I think, everything seems to go along at the same loudness and it makes it seem a little flat structurally wise, if thats even a word.
Anyways, its better than anything I can do!!!!
Good on giving up reason tho! |
TOTALLY agree on volume progression. I did a very subtle amount of it with the damn main synth, which at the 4 min mark when it starts to build... and build... and build... it gets LOUD so i brought it down a bit, IMO maybe not as much as I should have, i think I could have done more with voluming indeed yes.
once I get good with new software and get some hardware, then we can really collab on something neat. maybe get good ol' david dean to help us out if he's not getting famous by then.
EDIT: and yea once again, i was lazy w. my kick , I ALWAYS forget how important a kick is to trance. If you are going to be listening to the same kick (more or less exempting effects to it) for 6-8 minutes, it has to be good and interesting.
