melodic is a type of trance... uplifting is a feeling.... SOme tunes my be uplifting to one, whereas not to the other....so any genre could be uplifting... The tunes that usually lift my spirits are melodic/epic trance....they put me in a happy place..
Melodic/epic is classified as smooth trance.. which most of the tunes have buildups and pauses.... as far as progressive is concerned... it keeps the same pace all throughout the tune... which i personally find quite boring... although there are a few progressive tunes that are decent... i hope this has cleared things up for you

solar stone-seven cities is in my opinion the most dramatic, almost cheesy and easily the most uplifting track ever. i want to hear it on my way to heaven. or if i was watching a videotape of my life being played back to me

hmm not ever but yeah i partly agree...one thats always represented uplifting would be something like carte blanche from veracoacha.as a classic..on the other hand more up 2 date would be silverblue-step back(blue sky mix)..very uplifting
