speaker noise

when i turn up my speakers i get a loud buzzing noise but when i pick up the mixer or the deck thats playing the noise goes away why is that?
Also what sort of material can i put under the decks and mixer to permantley get rid of the buzzing.

This sounds like you have a grounding loop and when you turn up the sounds, the music is louder than the ground loop buzz and you dont hear it. check out the other post in this section regarding grounding loops and what you can do to fix it.
