EA signs a 5 year deal with the NFL

I'm sure many of you have already heard, That EA signed a deal with the NFL, For exclusive rights to all the teams, Player names, Stadiums, Pretty much everything in the NFL for 5 years, This is a huge blow for Sega with there ESPN NFL Football games, 2005, The only football games that you can purchase, Will be Maddon NFL 2006 and the new NFL Street from EA, Theres no telling what Sega is going to do for 2005, I myself, Am very disapointed on EA's move to get the rights to the NFL, As it eliminates the competition, And a lot of ESPN Football fans are pretty pissed about this, I wonder whats your take on this?

i couldnt believe it when i first heard it.. this is stupid. i'm not a Sega fanboy but this basically eliminates any competition whatsoever. i bet all the Madden lovers are happy but this can also back fire on the people that are overjoyed right now. if u think about it, this can actually be worse than just Sega not bein able to make another NFL game for 5yrs. EA can basically release complete garbage and there wont be anythin else out to compete with it. people will buy it simply because it has Madden or Street slapped on it. funny, i was readin an article a few days ago about a class action lawsuit bein ready to get filed against EA for poor treatment of their employees. no raises, no overtime compensation, poor workin conditions overall, and now this. i wonder where the money went. i loved 2K5. not only was the price unbeatable, it just seemed more complete than Madden. from the half time show, to the first-person game.. it was a solid game. i will be satisfied as long as the Madden games keep evolvin and we dont just see 2005 for the next 5yrs..
