from past experience, these are clubs i can't stand

La ROUGE (1 hour line last january -20C, meanwhile, only a few meters from the entrance, to arrive in the biggest shithole after freezing our asses off. definately my most pissed clubbing experience, if the club was nice, then maybe i could get over it, but it was just such a shit hole.)

ELEMENT BAR - i thought, ok cool, check out this place cause they play house music, and i get in and its this small dinky little place that had absolutely nothing going for it, we left within an hour, just didn't feel the place at all

to be honest...after going clubbing for a few years and knowing most places...i hate most clubs in the richmond/adelaide area. all the top 40 shit...the only good clubs i think anymore are:

the guvernment (my fav), boa-redux, the docks (in summer, just cause i love being able to chill out side on the patio on the water front) fluid (can be fun on a sunday, listening to house music), system sound bar (but i don't really like it as much anymore, i enjoyed it more 2 years ago).


don't hold me to that list, becuase theres been a lot of new stuff opening up lately, and haven't made it around to everything, so theres prolly some more decent places i haven't checked out yet.

my fav, i'd have to say system, I dont really measure a club by how it looks or how big and shinny the lasers are, for me it comes down to the vibe, and when I'm at system it doesnt really feel like a club, more like a big house party...

what i dont understand about that place, is that they had some crazy trance that used to be played there every thurs and sunday night, Back some 3 years. Howd they get all those thugs out and the asians in so quickly??? Everytime i showed up after clubbing on a thursday or a sunday, back in the day, youd see all the thugs streaming out the front door, and a HUGE line goin in the back door....but once you got in, the music was CRAZY and the crowd was messed....were talkin the viva crowd in an underground setting.....they also played some of the craziest songs, awesome beats with some asian vocals, it actually sounded REALLY good together for some songs! The "anthems" for them were hilarious, also. You think the hug circles at guv is funny, you should see all of them jump up and down at the same time, knowing all the hand signals from the video and singing along at the top of their lungs. Definitely an experience Id say!
