well.. it's been a good year for games, and here are my personal opinions:

FPS Campaign: Half Life 2

Multiplayer: Halo 2

Strategy Game: Rome- Total War

Sports: Fifa 2005 (But haven't played Football Manager)

(Those are the only kind of games I play, but feel free to add other catergories.)

My vote for racing game will go to Need for Speed: Underground 2 only because those bastards at Sony (Polyphony Digital) chose to delay the release of my precious Gran Turismo 4 yet again. Not only was it delayed, but word has it that they've also chopped my vehicle (1990-1993 Acura Integra) from the final list of cars to make the US release.
