I'm sorry if this comes off as overly critical, but since you never seem to mince words with others on this board, I hope you can respect my frankness:
I think you 007 mix is extremely derogatory of a "Paul van Dyk" sound. Everything from your first track "The Weapon" to the John Askew and Marc van Linden tracks in the middle to the Paul van Dyk tracks at the end is very stereotypical "Paul van Dyk-ish". I know what you'll say in response to this: "I can't help it, this is the type of music that I love, and so that is the type of music that I will play, I'm not djing to please you". And I respect that. However, while that kind of mix will probably get listeners on tranceaddict and probably get a positive response, I'm just saying that it's probably not the type of mix that'll really impress anyone. It's just not pushing any boundaries or trying anything special.
As far as your 006 mix, again, I have criticism. For anyone who has some knowledge of progressive music, they could probably see that the mix is more or less a collection of "huge" prog tunes, with nothing unique or personal about it.
OK, sorry for being so negative. I'm not trying to say that I'm a better dj or that I look down on you for any reason. You're a very good mixer technically, and it's so clear that you're extremely passionate about what you're doing, so I just know you could do more than just these cookie-cutter tranceaddict-pleasing mixes. Feel free to rip any mixes I post to shreds
