Is it just me, or has Martin's government has been busy lately? All these issues that Chrétien seemed to put off for so long seem like they're getting resolved.

Of course, we would have already HAD the new helicopters if Chretien hadn't cancelled the original EH-101 contract in the first place.

Which is my whole point... Martin seems to be making a lot of movement, whereas Chrétien (at least in his later days as PM) seemed to slow things down.

I think the minority mandate has given his administration the kick in the ass that was needed. Chrietien coasted through the end of his term...you rarely heard him in the media at all. It was as if he was on some kind of holiday or something.

I think there is a lot being done now...however many of Martin's detractors (particularly those here) will likely not have a good word to say about him, regardless of what he and his people do. You seek commentary on there appearing to be movement on other issues and the reply is 'what about the Ad Scandal' and talk about Chretien. That's great, lol...but to be expected, I supppose

Interesting to see (unless I missed the thread) that no one made any mention of Stockwell Day's latest media flop. When is this guy going to go away? He should get together with Ms. Parrish and compare notes on how to be a tactless idiot, lol.
