i've been wondering, how easy/accurate is ACID for mixing?
i remember one time i mixed a set with Sound Forge. but that was hell. i had to first load up all the tracks, then i'd cut the sections i wanted, then, selected 4 beats in the waveform, jotted down the time, used timestrech with percentages on the other tracks to get them timed correctly, do a fade in/out effect on a phrase or two, and then used mix pasting.
the set actually was actually coming out spot on, tempo-wise, but it was a bitch to fix when i had done something wrong, or wanted to do something differently, and and one point, it just didnt sound natural. so i gave up 4 tracks into it. did learn a lot in the process though...

i havent used it in a year or so, but as i remember it was pretty easy, it sorted out all the timestretching and beat aligning for you (with a bit of help) i should crank it up and have a play again
