Noel Sanger is an instructor at Full Sail (at least he was the last time he mentioned it). Get him as an instructor and you'll be in good hands. I don't know if it will be worth the amount of money that it costs, but it really would be a case by case situation. It would depend on your natural talent and what you plan on doing afterwards. Maybe you could hit Noel up with a few questions. I'm sure that he would level with you.

Wow really? I had no clue he was an instructor there. That's awesome! I'm sure that I could learn more from him than any of the other instructors there. Sweet, thank you for your help

One of my friends graduated with a RIM major this past May. Check out the MTSU program, supposedly one of the best in the country.

the only full sail grads taht i know work at best buy with me making about $7-8 dollars an hour. i also know another guy who got his recording arts degree there, he works part time in a record store. full sail is alot of hype, their equiptment is great, but they make promises that they cant keep.

huge waste of money IMO, but its a great way to keep yourself in debt untill your 90.

I graduated from there in june and to be honest, it's a great school. But like anything else, you get out what you put in. I know people who didnt care and became bums but I also know people who are working in great jobs in studios in new york and miami. there are other schools but it's all about preference. personally, i loved it.

I know people that go/went there ... I think, like any other school, you get out of it what you put it, and nothing guarantees you a job when you're done but you. The school is fine, dont them them scare ya. If someone is working for 7/8 bucks an hour after graduation, its thier fault.

Definitely dont go because you want to produce trance. You dont need to go there to learn how to do electronic dance. Get the software and learn yourself. You can build your own studio in your bedroom - on a laptop - for less than a couple of grand. All the knowledge can come from your own talent, help from your friends, and online.

tru that. even though i do the electronic thing, i went to that school cuz i wanted to learn about it all. i think there's more than enough ta's here to help you with whatever you need.

i think that about sums it up. everything is there for you, but you gotta be effing proactive and grab it all. the material comes at you fast and you gotta be really dedicated. it isnt the only way into the field, more like a headstart... and if you wanna do EDM exclusively, i'd defo say save yr $$$. but i will also say that i have learned more in 2 years of teaching there part time, than i learned in 10 years of making music prfessionally before that... we'll be glad to see you in MIDI if you do decide to come along!
