HELP wanted with shure whitelabel and tech sl-1210

I installed my shure whitelabel to my tech and now i hear the sound from the mixer, but its all crackly and distorted why is this?

my needle weight is 2g and i set my tonearm as instructed

So now only the bass is distorted, so is my cartridge broken?? :/

leave them sitting on an old record over night. the styli need breaking in usually. daft yes, but it works for me.

also check the wires are not stopping the styli sitting in the groove properly.

Yeah now it works but the problem was with way too less needle weight. Also the problem is that thomann.de from where I ordered didn't supply me with a shure whitelabel instead this is some other shure cartridge (but it was packed in the whitelabel package ) so I will change it.

First I thought they had modified the cartridge to fit technics stylii, but fortunately my friend knows about these things while ima noob

So next week 2nd TT and 2 new carts.

?? i am confused... they probably sold you an m44 cart? there is no way they could nodify the whitelabel cart as it does not fix to a headshell from the top.

either way, glad you are getting it sorted. next time, read the manual (unless they had the cheek to give you a whitelabel manual too)

Now the thing is sorted out. I identified the cartridge as some crappy reloop piece of shite, btw they didn't give me the manual

I know I'm an utter nooob because I tried to reason that they had modified the cartridge, some mod it was 99euro whitelabel to a crappy 15euro reloop :P

At least I know better now, and my new cartridge will arrive with my second tech sl-1210MK5, I think so...
