I'm familiar with how to use Traktor.
I'm interested in hardware setups people have to make use of all its features.

I also have an onboard NForce Audio Controller. I've experimented with programs such as Virtual DJ which allows you to have two soundcards setup with different outputs and that works ok to a degree but I don't think the software is near enough as good/stable as Traktor and I never feel when mixing that the output produced by both soundcards is working well together, something doesnt sound quite right.
I basically am interested in learning more about the program. What kind of hardware do people have hooked up to it? Do you have mixers and what not plugged up to it and where can I find more information about this?

first off, using seperate soundcards, especially if they are using different drivers (and most consumer sound cards will only allow one in the system at a time), you'll run into latency issues.
soundcard a's driver may be slower or faster than soundcard b and thus the two tracks will be slightly out of sync compared to what the traktor/other-DJ-app expects to be coming out the speaker.
I use a M-Audio Delta66. it's a 4in, 4out soundboard with external breakout box. Channels 1 and 2 are the first deck, 3 and 4 are the second deck (inside traktor)
both are connected to the line ins of the mixer.. so I just switch from phono to line on the mixer if I want to use traktor instead of a turntable.
all cue monitoring is done thru the usual controls on the mixer just like if I was cueing a record. I use hotkeys and a 20-key USB keypad to control most common functions... and the mouse a bit.
traktor can also interface with MIDI controllers, so you could build a MIDI pad to control pitch, nudge tracks, etc etc... since MIDI functions are completly mappable inside the application, its all up to you to decide how far you want to take it.
I don't see why you couldnt build something that looks like a mixer, but only has a MIDI out... if I only had the time!

I was referring to Virtual DJ. Not Traktor. For Traktor I am cueing out of the rear output of my soundcards and playing through the speakers on the front output.
Audigy - I have the same issue and I don't understand it either. People keep going on about beatgrids but I find they make things even worse. If anyone can offer a guide on how to beatmatch perfectly in the program then that would be much appreciated!
