anyone experienced this?

i'm pretty good mates with this girl, never thought of her as more than mates cuz since I've known her she's had a boyfriend, which is fair enough. We used to hang out all summer, but we don't so much any more just cuz of school and cuz we don't live that close to each other.

My cousin and her b/f are coming down for a few days over the xmas hols and so they'd quite like to see the Queen musical (which kicks ass btw), so I thought I'd invite my mate. We've gone down to London before, jus teh 2 of us, just to do bugger all really! - would be a good change to go watch the show

So I asked her and her dad jus flipped... saying that it's unfair on her b/f (year older than me, don't really wanna mess with him!) etc... so to me it seems as tho her dad doesn't want me hanging out with her while she's with her b/f (which looks to be a looooong time) i dunno wtf is up

geez i'll just never figure out girls... guess that's why I like trance so much - always there for u!

anyone think it's worthing sayin anything to this dumbass dad?... or anything else to get her to come along?

Yeah, dealing with protective fathers can be kinda iffy. What does she have to say about it though? If you don't have intentions of usurping the boyfriendship, there should be no problem. Though, this logic will not always pervade. If she's in a relationship where the boyfriend won't let her go out with friends on her own (regardless of your gender) then he (the boyfriend) probably doesn't really deserve her anyways. I mean, you're just friends, right?

girls and guys can never be friends. the only way this can happen is if...

A. the girl is butt ugly or vice versa
B. the guy is gay or vice versa

otherwise, one of the 2 will end up wanting have sex.

I have about 10 girls who are my friends, does that mean im going to get laid 10 times, of course not. And your rules do not apply to any of my friends on myself.

it's kinda weird, i mean it'd be cool if we did get together as more than mates... but i'm not desperate and seeing as though she has a boyfriend my focus has been shifted and i see her as just a mate. at first i thought she might have liked me as more than a mate from the way she was acting towards me, altho once I found out about the b/f I kinda forgot about that theory.

i think she would really want to go, she really doesn't seem as though she'd lie to me bout something like this and use the dad thing as a cover, although it wouldnt suprise me ("never trust something that bleeds for 7 days but doesn't die" )

I think that if she really wanted to go, she would show a lot more interest in it. She would fight to go if she saw it being worth it...but if she's not, do you really want to force her to do something she doesn't want to? Then again, girls that age (moreso than older....maybe... ) thend to not quite know what they want, as I've found. The same sort of applies to guys as well, but we tend to be far more sex-oriented, so we don't have to think about what interest us - our penises do all the thinking at that age.

Ok, so that doesn't really change, but at least we become conscious of it!

Where was I going with this?

Oh yeah - don't give up, make sure to wear plenty of deoderant and don't. send. the. letter.

uuh... +0 .... that post kinda started off well but ended up not saying anything!

she goes to an all-girls school, so doesnt know that many guys so i think she appreciates our friendship quite a lot... also she told me she still wants to hang out, but i kinda gave her a bit of a cold shoulder sayin that i didn't wanna upset her dad etc... is about time some girls got the crap end of the stick instead of me
