The best teaching method is practice, practice, practice. But sure enough, there are some nice tips and tricks on that site It can at least give ya a good point of view in certain DJ techniques.

Wow wasn't expecting that, there some of my posts, I hope they help people out, I can only talk from things I've done and know about but I sure as hell don't know it all, I am always willing to help people out to the best of my abilities, so I will try my best to make a nice resource to goto, even though TA has loads and is great, would be nice to have alot of general help in one area.

It will take awhile but in the future expect a really big update to that area.

Cheers TS.

EDIT: about that "hardest style" post, what I posted was just what I find hard, doesn't mean the next person will be the same, TS we got some work to do and to make things easier to understand, those are just posts I made to various people.

Should be alright for now, but I will get my ass moving and hopefully put up a good FAQ soon.

+1billion on the practice

the part about 4/8/16/32/64/128.... is pretty much the key to beatmatching, all you gotta do is pay attention to the beats and then the rest is keeping the tracks playing in sync with eachother which is a bitch if you have beltdriven decks

but yea...listen to a track, any track, almost every track has something that happens at those beats...

more often than not its on the 32(count 8 bass kicks/beats 4 times)

for starters dont bother counting higher than 8 cus you get confused easy trying to think/count the word 27 or something like that really fast when youve got 2 sources of music blasting

anyways, count 12345678 - 4 times and youll notice theres some sort of change in the music when you hit the next count of 1

heres my illustration, each # represents the bass kick, tss = hi hat

12345678| 12345678| 12345678| 12345678| 1 tss 2 tss 3 tss 4 tss 5 tss 6 tss 7 tss 8| tss 1 tss 2 tss 3 tss 4 tss 5 tss 6 tss 7 tss 8| tss 1 tss 2 tss 3 tss 4 tss 5 tss 6 tss 7 tss 8| tss 1 tss 2 tss 3 tss 4 tss 5 tss 6 tss 7 tss 8| tss | lead synth...

yeah... hard to follow prolly but easy if you sound it out...

remember the # 32!
