Hi everyone!

I've been following this forum for a few months now, but I just registered yesterday.

You can download my latest track at:
www.student.kuleuven.ac.be/~m0116704/091204.zip
(just download the zip file and unpack it)

I don't ever know how to name my tracks so for now it's just named after the day it was finished.

It's made entirely with FL.
(working with FL for about a year now)

comments are greatly appreciated
thx!

Jelle

Kick sounds good but needs some eq work
Percs are ok but need to be clearer/louder
Don't like the snare
Bass does the trick
Lead melody isn't bad but the synths used are

It's need some work but the right ingredients are all there, keep at it!

thx, for reviewing...

but how exactly would you improve the kick by Eq'ing?
(which freqencies would you adjust?)

ok I'll try turning up the volume of the hihats.

the snare you dont like, is that the snare at every 2nd beat? or the ''filling'' snare (that builds up eg right before the bass kicks in)

what would you (or anyone else) suggest for the main synths?

thx again anyway

I mean that space needs to be made for the kick, it can get muddy. Only slightly though, i'm just being fussy

The snare fill is horible. The 2nd beat snare is ok but a clap would be more appropriate. Or at least layer the snare with a clap.

The pluck type synth is ok, it's the saw synth that I really don't like. Sounds very rough, just needs tweaking really.

Hey,

nice work on a hard trancer.

I think it would sound better with a different snare sample, and a little bit of variation to the pattern if you are going to try do something different than the standard -2-4 Hope that makes sense!

keep it up,
trevor

I love the bassline! Your song is good you just need to work it out alittle better. But that all comes with time. Im still trying to do it myself. Fruity Loops really sounds good. And I agree with the other guys about the snare. not powerfull enough.

good luck
