I do, 'cos I can't afford and don't have space for decks.

I use traktor and could never change cos I know it so well, and I could NEVER leave the ability to set hotkeys for all parameters.

I have traktor 2.0 and it seems to have a problem with keeping beats together, I don't have it set up for monitoring, so i have to go by the sync bars. Are the later versions the same as this

Yes, it can't detect the beats properly and this is the result. You'll have to use monitoring if doing live stuff... If you record in traktor you can cue using your regular out, since it'll record what you do, not what you hear.

but surely what you are hearing is what is being recorded

Anything after 2.0 wont run smoothly on my computer for some reason

Might have to try an alternative

No, not if you use the built-in record button... It records your mouse movements, etc etc, and when you export the mix, it goes through all the tracks, finds out how it would sound and save that.
Therefore, non-live mixes is completely possible with 1 audiocard and 1 set of headphones (or speakers).

so basically what you are saying is, keep the sync displays directly in the middle, even if the music sounds out of sync, and when you export it, it will be ok?

i'll give it a try

No no no. I mean that even though you use the cue buttons to monitor, that won't be recorded. Only the audio that should be recorded will be.

If it sounds out of sync, it WILL sound out of sync when you save it.
That's what you use the monitoring for.

Mix'n'vibes FREE is my favorite (since it's free), It is possible to beatmatch on mixing programs if you know the hotkeys and the tracks you're mixing real well, though it's really hard without being able to cue up with headphones ..... I've heard that Astral Projection mixes with Protools live....
