Lightbulb Ambia - Power Struggle

Hi! I'm finally back with something new (first thing since April actually). It seems like I'm taking longer and longer each time. Anyway, my 4th tune is somewhere between melodic and hard. Ah, I dunno, just make up your own mind...

Ambia - Power Struggle (Original Mix)
(7:04, 12.9MB, 256Kbps)

Any comments or feedback would be much appreciated...

Cheers.

This rocks!!

so much drive right from the beginning, and the turn arounds are very funky.

Loving that squeaky distorted thing that runs up & down.

The main melody is pretty cool.. kinda gives the song a sense of urgency.

I think the only thing that I'm not a big fan of is the hi hat panned to the right, its not as skippity as the hi hat panned to the left - it sounds a lil heavy if that makes sense. But it could just be my headphones!

Fantastic toon! don't take so much time between songs joe! or else...

Yeah, really nice and powerful tune you've created mate!
Loving that driving bassline, and the melody is cool - nice harmonies! Also great build-up before the melody kicks in.
If I should complain about something, it'd be that the piano sound could be a bit less "plastic". But that's just a minor detail.
Enjoying this one!

listening m8....

i'm not listening throu any super good speakers right now.. but will give a comment anyway

first thing is that i think the kick could have more power....
kinda get's a bit drowned after a little while...

i really like the dirty synth

even thou the new mel that's coming in now is totally different i kinda like them 2 togheter

don't really like that the pad is so high.. think it should be more in the background and that you should bring out the melodie more.

ohh.. and i like the percussions... really nice

good work joe

dang, im a sucker for flager/chours. nice use of that. nice bassline. i think the track needs more 'stuff' as it seems like a buildup towards something.

Cool tune. I remember you sent me a sample of it awhile a go…
You really improved mate, the sound quality is really good, everything sound clear and crisp.

One thing I feel you should work harder on is your percussion, the kick is too weak compared to the rest of the mix, not enough power and drive in it.
The other hats, I don’t think they sound full enough…by adding some additional effects to them you can make them fuller and more driving.

Other then that, cool bassline, really liked the melodies in that one.

Well done mate! Keep on making music!

ooh bass reminds me a bit on david forbes-answers.

i don't really like the kick Joe, it tiks to much.

clap can be stronger imo.

that bandpass? acid is really cool.

intro/buildup takes really long.

piano is nice, and that synth is indeed very cool. Melody is nice also with that string sequence.

imo arrangment and mixing could be better Joe, that would be the only thing though.

I'm liking this Joe !

The acid sounds are superb & the main melody piano & synths are quality.

Still a few bits here & there that could be improved that others have mentioned but you are getting better tune by tune !
