Ears ringing, legs tired, but WIDE awake :-) I'd never been to Insomnia (the actual name of the club) before... pretty decent place! Got there around 11:30pm, no problems with the line unlike TIESTO/THE WORLD/NYC a few weeks ago! We were up and in the club 15 min after joining the end of a pretty long line. First impression? The light system, VERY nice! The sound? Well, a little too much on the bassey sound of things in my opinion but pretty decent. Armin was scheduled for 1am but he was on before 12, I think. Funny, he looks like Tiesto - I think it's a Netherlands thing! :-) The crowd was already pumped by the time he got on the decks and he span, and span, and span... man, he ROCKED the place! I always think that the DJ needs to watch the crowd, feel the mood, ya know? He did just that, bringing us up and down like crazy mad things! Unlike The World, there was plenty of room to dance, and we did! He span a great set, though I have nothing to compare it to since this was the first time I've heard him live. I gotta say he kicked the place, had everyone jumping and just enjoying every drop of music oozing from the speakers. Would I see him again? HELL yeah! I can only begin to imagine what he would sound like on the sound systems at say Club 5, DC or Limelight, NYC. Altogether a great evening spent immersing myself in the very heart and soul of trance music! ROLL ON TIESTO ON NOV 24th!!!
