Ryan Elfman - Trendwhore[128 - Full Track][Trance]

Well here we go, finally made my first actual song! I have made over 100 loops and beats of Hip hop, RnB, Drum 'n' Bass, Trance, House, 2 Step Garage, and many more but now I have finally made a full trance track.

Tool Used: Reason 2.5, Cubase SX 2.0, Izotope Ozone 3.07
Download: Ryan Elfman - Trendwhore

Final Thoughts: I think the mixing and mastering could have been a bit better. The kick sounds pretty good, but I don't think it melds together with the bass as well as I thought. After tweaking and referencing to other peoples songs to get my compression and limiting right I thought; I should do my best and release the song once and for all, I will get more practice with everything with the more tracks I make.

Hope you enjoy! Questions and comments are appreciated.

I'll be honest.

The track is pretty boring, this reminds me in my older days, I'm not saying I'm a pro now, since I need to learn a lot yet to be proclaimed Pro, but as a listener, I wouldn't give it a second listen.

The Hi Hat is a bit too loud for my taste, overall it was recorded well, but the song itself is pretty boring.

PDM, thx for the constructive critism. I know its very basic, there wasn't a lot of instruments at all in the track, maybe like 9 or 10 at most. Any tips for my next track? By the way how does the master sound on your system?

EDIT: By the way I only used 4bars at most not 8, maybe this might be why its boring?

i like your track, its well constructed and equalized, however
you may need to work on your "attack & release" also to give it that warm feeling, you need more sounds to be involved, mix down needs to be improved, but overall its a nice tune, but pads are kind of "down" its like i would want to dance with that baseline, but not with those pads.

i am adding your icq on my list btw, lets see if can work something out.
