ok guys, first of all i would like to say that i am prety new to this trance scene.
i've browsed the board and have heard you talk a lot about commercial trance. things like mauro picotto - komodo and ian van dahl - castles in the sky.
the thing is that i like this music. could you guys please give me some tunes that sound similar to the ones i listed. ie. good bassline, melodic, with a good build up. preferably by producers or composers cuz at the moment im not really into that mixing stuff heaps.

Hi there.

Im a Club/Radio DJ from the UK, and my style is Hard Trance & nu-Nrg so I thought i'd give u a view of my views.

I would say that my favorite DJ's (producers combined) are:

Mauro Picotto
Tiesto
Anne Savage

Why? Mauro is the Master. Saw his immense 7 hr set at Gate Crasher 2 weeks ago. The sheer depth of his tunes is amazing. Every tune he produces is guaranteed to rip a dance floor apart here in the UK. I don't think that there is one tune that he has produced that is under-par. Not the greatest DJ mind. Can tend to play too many CD's. Favorite tunes from him are most definitely "Iguana" and "Pulsar".

Tiesto? A much newer face, but has hit the ground running and when I saw him for the first time last year, I thought WOW! So glad he has signed a deal with GodsKithen. Remarkable DJ, and his talent is equally visible in his tracks. "Urban Train" Euphoria at its best. Need I say more. This is a DJ/Producer and a half.

Anne Savage. Amazing, beautiful, versatile. An established DJ, and also the queen of the decks in my eyes. Her sets can range from Trance, to hard house, to funky, to breaks to whatever. I love her, you must check her! And my friends at the bpm studio know her

i think deep down we all like diffenet types of commercial tunes. eg if u asked some1 if they liked faithless-insomnia or komodo or whateva many on the boards would say yes i think. i like quite a bit of commercial tones. some are diabolical tho. if u like komodo check out the remixes they r excellent 2...well most
