Marco V's mixing

Correct me if i'm wrong, but it sounds like he was using Ableton Live when playing at Innercity. Does anyone know if he was?

What do you mean 'it sounds like he was using Ableton Live'?

As far as I know, Marco V has never ever used a computer during his sets.

What would make you say that?
When I saw Marco V it was mainly vinyl and CDs but that doesn't mean he couldn't start doing stuff with Ableton.

Cheers

you cant really hear 'ableton live.' ableton live is just like any other production host except that the layout and functionality of the event windows and step sequencer is streamlined for live performers. theres lots of visualisation cues and such that makes it easier than say logic to throw in and take out loops on the fly, effect things, cut loops up and re edit the track in realtime, as its playing. you can do this to some extent with any host but its just more intuitive in ableton. some bands like digitonal rely on it completely for live performance. but you cant really tell even if theres a computer on stage since you can get any host to midi trigger everything, or parts of it, or you could be really cheeky and pre render the whole thing, play it back from your host and just look like you are doing something on a comp.
