Am I the only one who can't stand that repeating posts of :
Who's your favourite DJ
What's your favourite song
or What song are you thinking of (no offense to the poster of that thread... but it's on top every fucking day...)

So... am I really alone over here ?

I think these threads are annoying too .. but I think the primary goal of this message board is to let people express (i don't know how you spell it)themselves .. maybe some people love those threads and we can't stop them only because they're annoying well that's what i think the only sad thing i see is that most of the time .. it's always the same DJs (tiesto, pvd, armin, corsten) and the same tracks (the big "right now" hits) that are repeated. Maybe it would be the time for some 'new' stuff or a "what's the last trance track you just discovered and think is great" .. anyway i think i'm talking too much now and nobody's reading anymore anyway cya guys!

I'll agree with you on the DJ thing. But the "what song are u thinking of..." gives me some good songs sometimes. Maybe if there was a post like "Really good songs" or "New songs" and it stayed up at the top it'd be better. But the best DJ thing has to go, everybody has a personal favorite and most of the time it's the same answer over and over again.

Blik don't let the dude who started the "what song you thinking about right now " thread hear you, he tore into me for commenting that the thread should be closed, cause its never gonna end and people aren't gonna read it after a while, and it is boring the hell outta me.

Peace

Red face annoying thread/posts

I totally agree that all those threads should be closed, but they keep on going and every day someone replies i get an email message and i cant change that for some reason so those threads should be stopped..... they have been going on for way too long.... no harsh feelings to the thread starters......

I agree BUT...

I agree that there are way too many of those kinds of threads. But when I first came here, I loved them because I would cut and paste everyone's favorite song or top ten favorite songs and d/l them one at a time and that's where the majority of my collection comes from. I've gotten A LOT of awesome tracks from threads like those and I still don't have them all. It's always good to hear something new but enough is enough. You might only need something like that maybe once a year.

i guess my big problem is when you see a new one simply cause someone is way too lazy to look in the older posts for the original. When there is a brand new thread from some moron who just registered asking what he/she should download every day its pretty annoying. i rarely put every song i have ever listened to or like in these threads - i ususally completely ignore them cause they are boring as shit to read. if someone hangs around long enough and reads what other people say, they will learn something. people will still continue to do this tho - i guess our only possible option here would if swamper made separate forum sections - but of course people probably wouldn't go there cause it would be boring, and they would continue to post everywhere else.

i say just ignore them and hopefully the REALLY stupid ones will go away.

of course i started a rant thread like this about a month ago, and look where we are now.......hehe. peace.

Exclamation

it annoyes the hell outta me 2 to see 5 threads with sort of the same title & content...

maybe there should be a "my fav 10 top trance tracks"forum...

the new (??) thread on the classics however, i like, that way im reminded of how much good tracks there have been which ive already forgotten about... tracks that made trance the way it is now...

the "whats ur fav song/what ru listening to right now" threads just contain commercial new shit mostly, or ppl write down like the same list like everyone else, WHATS THE USE OF REPEATING THE SAME SONGS OVER AND OVER AND OVER AGAIN?!?!?!

Well i'm glad we're having this discussion..I guess i'm the chief target of this conversation but at the same time if we are going to point fingers at threads which are redundant, i would have to say the majority of threads are repetitious, now agi may have a point i kinda took what he said to heart, but there are nice ways of making a point. the main reason i created that crazy thread was because it was fun and it didn't discriminate on the type of trance u liked or the artist, it was basically to let everyone have an opinion and it exposed me to songs which I had never heard. It also kept a good dialogue between other TA's, i personally thought this was a good thing. One of the main reasons i frequent this site is because everyone here is curteous and for the most part a pleasure to talk with. when Tranceaddict had a smaller membership it seemed as if everyone repected one another, now it seems that people have to make personal attacks on one another, One of the main reasons i got addicted to this site was the forums and the people, i really hope that this aspect is not decaying into similar message boards, I don't know about any of you but i live in NY and there's enough drama to go around, I like this board because of the lack of drama and the respect that everyone has for each others opinion. Enough of my soapbox speech...to anyone i have offended i apoligize. I would rather keep the peace than waste my time dissing people and making personal comments...laterzzzz

Mike
