How do you save a file as a midi in FL Studio?

Im lost here

How do you go about putting a melody (24 bars long) into midi format, using fruityloops studio. The melody is all in strings. Can others use the midi to see what notes i used - even if they dont use FL? or do you just have to follow the notes and try and copy them.?

THanks for any help.
