Oceanlab - Satellite (Expandeds Jam Session Remix)
Hello boys n girlz!
You might wonder why the hell i remixed this tune? It has probably been remixed too many times.
The answer is simple, I wanted to do some vocal progg and I found this acapella and thought that I could give the song a diffrent sound (IE "my own sound")
The approach was to make it rather "jazzy" too so I hop ya'll enjoy it !
If you're really desperate and want a 192kbps, msg me and i'll see what I can do. The reason why I don't post it in 192kbps is because of my bandwidth!

Hey!
Well...I'll have a boo seeing as its a good song to begin with.
I don't really like the reverb on your percs in the first few minutes. Just a bad reverb, try expanding the "room" size and decreasing the "dampness".
Yeah..I see what you mean by "glitches"...the track jumps like a cheap record in a tornado!
Love the instruments...quite refreshing picks! Just enough variety to keep me listening! And if everyone says the JET sound is cheesey just tell 'em Digi likes it!
Dang...the vocals sure are great, eh? Love the chimey dream synth you've got there too! This is shapin up!!
4:35 w00t! I like this! At 5:00 your percs do a complete 180 and drastically improve (except for the reverb condition).
Expanded, this is actually pretty good ... fix up the skips and change the reverbs you've used here... and then its good to go!

This is my favorite song and I've been sucking up all the remixes that I can.
I'm glad to say that this one does Satellite justice! I like the tight bouncy rhythm and especially the sparkling synth after the chorus. It suits the dreamy/ocean atmosphere.
Lots of modern sounds and a great chord progression after the breakdown with the sine waves.
I would kill for a high quality version of this remix - I promise I won't sell it! (Although, technically it IS a bootleg :P)
It's really soft and modern. Just needs a little tweaking on the levels...especially on the MF/F volume parts near 6 minutes. Too much resonance in my opinion. Hard frequencies to listen to.
Nice hooks and a quality song in the first place.
See how easy it is to remix if the song kicks ass in the first place?!
9/10 (with an Oceanlab-favoring bias lol)

Hey Expanded!
I love everything about this tune - the jazzy, chillout progressive feel works almost perfect with the vocals. The bass you use has a great digital feel to it (the one you use for the main part). Oh aye, and that saxophone is top notch!
9.5/10

i really like this a lot, certainly would have a 192k off u if possible to play out?
firm kick.. percs are ok.. bass and string enters.. smoe hats may be a little too upfront.. still no clap.. i like the way the vocals enters.. i like some of those sine-leads.. percs sounds tight later in the track.. very chill track.. but i think the track is too long and slow.. needs more elements to keep it interesting for the whole 9:00 .. good track.. just a tiny little too boring..
