ok dude, i was in same situation as u about 2-3 years ago... well what i got was Denon 2000F MK III CD player and a Gemini PS-626 mixer. they cost me $2500 Aus...which is about $1250 US... =( (crappy aussie dollar) but i got them 6 months interest free... its a buy now pay later thingy.... without interest, so it was ok.

i personelly dont like the Pioneer CDJ's, dont like their pitch bend function, too touchy, but after u get use to it, it should be ok i rekon, but Denon kick ass.

Gemin and Citronic and American DJmakesimilar product for less price, butdont compare to Denon in quality. Sure they will do the job, but then when u play with proper CD players u will want to send citronic/gemini ones back.

Hope ive helped... if u have anymore Q's feel free.

i don't like dual CD players, the jog wheels is so small...hell, everything is small. i started out with gemini cd players, and DJAhmet is right, they are shitty quality compared to pioneer,

never played with denon so can't say nothing about it.

and another thing about the gemini CDs their laser goes out fast, or so i've heard...
i think that their mixers are good for starting off...
i have a BPM 250...
and it's fine, i would swich it but i'm saving up for some MK's (two of 'em)
