hi all,i'm a local cairo based dj when i go to any club most of the ppl want me to play r'n'b or chart sh*T wich i refuse to play and get kicked out of the club for that. So what i want to know is how to get ppl to come to trance parties or enjoy trance in clubs plz help...

well what you can do is... organise an event in a club and give flyers everywhere... make sure that ppl will know its trance and make it sound new great and w/e.


ofcourse there is the "underground" way. you need some money to rent powerfull speakers and a place in the woods/desert/old warehouse or something. underground parties rock... just dont play the asot crap

Have lots and lots of gum and water ready



...and a laser wouldnt hurt either

definitely. promotion is huge. if everything (system, location, djs, lights, etc) is ready, promote it like hell and you'll hopefully get the turnout you want... that is given that youre promoting through the right channels (eg. record stores, clubs, etc)

The problem in egypt is that all of the ppl still aren't threw th puborty phase they are all like r'n'b so we can dirrty dance and touch that babes ass
anyway the equipment isn't a problem i work with pro dj's as the opening set so i've got dennon 9000 and s 5ooo ttx turntables pioneer djm6oo and cdj 1000 lasers moving heads scanners the hole deal.
but there is only 1 club in egypt and no record stores so how do i promote???

Two words: Free CD's

Burn some and hand them out. People sometimes need to be introduced to a genre. Hand out the CD's, then a couple weeks later have the event. I have no proof, but it might work.
