I went to your site and got kinda confused..
the navigation is kinda weird on your site, it'd be nice for you to link directly to the file next time.
I downloaded the mix dated 6 - 30 - 01
it starts with a remix of perpetual dreamer - the sound of goodbye, and the second track is castles in the sky.
listening to it right now.. first track is good, first mix is a little off, but not too bad. second track is good too, although a bit overplayed now. the 2nd mix should have been started way earlier.. too much outro and intro there..
I hope you like constructive criticism, cause that is what your getting!
I'll go download the other mix now.

Mixes done in Jan 2001 I used two 1200 MK3's Pioneer 600 and a Numark CD7030 Dual Cd Player. From March untill Present I use two 1200 Mk3's either a 500 or a 600 depeding on the Mixer where I recorded the sets Most Live sets are a 500 and non live are a 600. and I used a Numark CDN-88 Dual Cd Deck. The New Mix 10.27.01 was with a 500, two 1200 mk3 and my Numark CDN-88. Recored on to Mini Disc and ripped to Sound Forge and Encoded with WinLama =)
I moved to a new place and i couldnt take my roomates 600 or 1200's so im with out Tables and a nice mixer to practice on *sigh* I wish christmas would come sooner =)
Take Care

Cool, so you use both vinyl and CD as a medium..
I'm curious, because I plan on buying what I got in my signature, two Tech12s (mk3 or mkII doesn't really matter) and a DJM 500 or 600..
having used both, would you advise me to splurge for the 600? or is the 500 good enough? what about other brands, some people have said the pioneers is overpriced, it is quite expensive.. do you think I might be better going with a Gemini or Numark or something?
I'm just about done listening to the first mix, it's really good, except for that first and second mix, the others have been all really good. there is 1 minute left, and it sounds like you are mixing in again, but i can't tell for sure..
that's the mark of a good mix.
actually, I'm pretty sure it is a mix, but then.. it's over..
the other one is only half done right now, I'll give my critique of that later.

I would go for the gold and get the 600 but thats me I love the feel of it and the EFX are a tad better that the 500... I like being able to contol the Wet/Dry of the mix..
Ive got numark mixers myself i like numark a lot but the tables i have to go with Techs and they make great mixers for the money If they ever came out with something to compare to the 600 I would prob go with numark but i dont see that happeneing just yet and i heard Pioneer has a new mixer coming out so im anxious to see.
take care

hmm... yeah I think I will go for the 600, it's only a little more.
there is also a 4 channel Roland with a bunch of cool DSP stuff on it, I was looking at that as well.
*ears perk up* new mixer from pioneer?

Hey DJ skott
I'm done listening, this mix was pretty good. some of the mixes are a little sketchy, but very good overall..
I can definitely hear the FX modules in there, specially in clear blue water, the panning is overexaggerated and sounds a little weird.. but that's with headphones, in a big room it wouldn't sound the same..
anyway, good mix man..

THere is definitely some panning in the mix at about 42:38, it goes back and forth a few times, very obvious.. could be the autopanner effect, or maybe you panned it yourself..
after the break comes, I can hear more effects, the flanger I think..
the panning sounds a little obvious, but the flanger sounds great..
