Question Who the hell is "Craig Richards"?

I am looking at Craig Richards Essential Mix (20th June 2004) - 168 MB link on my screen and thinking, who the heck is this DJ? I was too lazy to do some research, so I am hoping the TA Massive can help me out here. What kind of music he spins, quality of his sets/productions, location, etc etc.

Thanks in advance!

Tech-house DJ - capable of some amazing stuff. His Fabric 15 compilation was close to the album of 2004 and his essential mix was pretty damn awesome too. If you don't like twisted, minimal stuff then you probably won't like him much at all, but if you've got an open mind and know how to appreciate intricate, well-stuctured minimal music then download it now.

Personally, I can't get enough of it.

What he said. Him + Lee Burridge = Tyrant.

Maybe he's good live, maybe his essential mix is good, maybe Fabric 1 is excellent, but Fabric 15 blows chunks. Get 09(Slam), 16(Eddie Richards), or 17(Akufen) instead. I'd stay away from 11, 14, 19, and 20 as well. Haven't heard any others.

Fabric 1 wasn't that great in my opinion, nor were a lot of the early Fabric releases even though they had some pretty big name DJs behind them. As for the others you mentioned, the Akufen one was one of the weakest of the entire series, 11 (Swayzak) was one of the best, 14 (Pullen) was kinda weak, 19 (Weatherall) was awesome if a bit disjointed and haven't heard Digweed's one yet (should be delivered in the next few days).

As for Craig Richards EM, if you don't like Fabric 15 (and sorry, but if you don't like this compilation then you're listening to the wrong sort of music - go buy an 8-ball and stick on some hard house instead) then you won't like this mix either because it's a very similar sound. I reccommend that the OP download it and decide for himself though.
