Well if you did want to take her out the perfect thing to do IMO would be to tell her since she's new that you would show her around...you might have difficulty having a conversation with her but that's just something you'll have to work through before giving her 'the plumbing.'

For some reason, people like to find people out of their country that speak their language. I get really excited if I meet somebody in the US that speaks italian... Plus, you could get her to help you out with your french...and french is sexy (not as sexy as italian tho!)
