it was only lights downstairs that are affected, so the fuse box can isolate that and allow me to play with decks and computer
the damage could have been worse, it was actualy an isolation valve for the shower that went.. bloody good job we had all them towels in the airing cupboard otherwise there would be loads more water downstairs.
we need:
- new carpets in dining room, toilet, hallway, landing and possibly the other bedroom (unless the ******s can clean them)
- re-plastering of the cieling in dining room
- french polishers for table and mums piano, plus a piano repair man as the thing is full of water
- new mobile phone for my dad
- new digital camera for my mum
- re-decorating in dining room and toilet
we still haven't turned on the downstairs lights so whether or not we need an electrician is yet to be seen.. the plumber thought it would alright though.. its a good job it wasn't the main header tank, otherwise my decks would have been for it. |
we had a burst pipe upstairs a few years ago, I'd say 6 years maybe, we had to have all the shit of insurers etc, giving u prices on how much u can spend on everything, we had to have the entire hall & landing rewallpapered & plastered, the kitchen which leaked plastered and decorated and new carpet in the hall/landing/back bedroom, was a nightmare tho so can only imagine what u have mate.
