Sven played a 4-3-3 with rooney on the left and wright-phillips on the right, with the pair switching flanks literally every 5 mins. gary neville and cole supplied most of our width, and when cole struggled with hollands right winger who was mint, he had rooney for backup.

later on downing came on for half an hour, while andy johnson came on and played a deep defending midfield position / right winger crossing balls for owen.

total sham, made no sense at all.

i thought beckham was alot more mature than hes been for england recently. although he didnt shine, but neither did anyone else.

it was a lackluster performance from everyone. Wes and Jamie did well. Gerrard was ok. about it. Maybe too much pressure was on SWP to be amazing.

Wright Phillips is not shit. He is a right footed winger who should be played on the left. The result of this were his two chances that he scuffed, had a half decent left footed winger been there instead that would have been 2-0.

Sven was off his tits last night, I have never seen so many people out of position in one match. Absolutely ludicrous!

aye, why the fuck play downing in a left forward role with andy johnson on the right. downing is a proper winger not an attacking mid like shaun wright phillips and AJ is a centre forward.

what is the point in blooding new players and playing them out of position? utter bollocks.

England were wank, lets face it they couldnt even beat a Dutch under-21 team.

Sven Goran Eriksson doesn't know his arse from his elbow. I still believe that if he had a bit of balls in the World Cup u wud have beat Brazil and gone on to win it, I mean lets face it his teams r boring and terrible to watch.

england r rubbish anyway i love it how football fans always say were gonna win a trophy next time.
they will be saying that for the next 200 years and as for winning the last world cup we werent good enough simple as whats the point in asking the if and buts.

My point is that if England had not have sat back after scoring against Brazil they would have probably scored more, why sit back and let Brazil with Ronaldo, Ronaldinho etc come at you, it was obvious they wud score.

The last World Cup was England's best chance of winnin the tournament cause lets face it the 2002 World Cup was the worst in history, I would say Brazil of 2002 were the worst team ever to win the World Cup.
