Ortofon Concorde Elektro

Haven't seen much info on Concorde Elektros. Anyone here uses them? I'd like to know how well they track and compare in sound quality to Night Clubs.
What kind of an improvement does higher voltage rating provide?

The higher the voltage on your carts the lower you will need to set your gains so you get more headroom.

I use them, they are cheaper and sound better than the nightclubs. as for tracking, i couldnt tell you, i dont scratch or do anything rough w/ my vinyl.

About the only disadvantage compared with the nightclubs is the higher tracking force the elektros need. How much record wear this translates to over the life of your records? I don't know.

I use them too and in my experience they sound incredibly good. Not to mention that they look pretty damn good too.

As for wear and tear... I haven't noticed anymore than normal.

Cheers
Nem

Hey Nem, how do you think those elektros hold up to scratching?

I love my nightclubs. Had them stolen from me at a club and bought a new pair right away. That's how much I love them. Very reliable. Sound is SICK!! Def. worth the price.

They are never going to perform like proper carts that are designed for scratcthing so in my opinion they are not the best option for that purpose.

Appart from that they sound real good.

Cheers
