right. Ive heard many floyd tracks remixed in to trance or progressive tracks and I think they really suck. Pink Floyd has been my favorite band for 10 years and i cant stand the trance remixes.

i listened to pink floyd when i shroomed
it was a good night

i totally see the connection you are talking about. it takes you on a journey much like edm does just in a different way. edm takes you on a journey that makes you want to dance and go crazy while pink floyd takes you on a psychological/psychedelical journey.

they do both take you on a journey. But IMO floyd outshines any trance i have ever heard. I have listening to trance for about 4 years now and i dont like it anymore, ive moved from hard trance, to trance , to progressive, to house and now i dont wanna listen to it anymore. I never get sick of floyd and thats why i think they are bette.r

i will agree.
pink floyd has some very mind penetrating music. i think you're less likely to realize it assuming you're not using any "artificial substances" to help you on your journey into the depths of their music.

And while one day viciously throwing down on his box Jack boldly declared "Let there be house!" And house music was born. I am the creator and this is my house and in my house there is only house music. But I am not so selfish because once you enter my house it then becomes our house and our house music and you see no one man owns house because house music is a universal language spoke and understood by all. You see, house is a feeling that no one can understand really unless you're deep into the vibe of house. House is an uncontrollable desire to jack your body and as I told you before this is our house and our house music. In every house you understand, there is a keeper and in this house the keeper is Jack.

The Floyd are UFB. I was lucky enough to see them from the floor when they were in Sydney many moons ago. And I agree fully they take you on that journey. But I don't think its what you get from good Trance. Closest I reckon you'd come to that is Meddle - Echoes at 7:00 mark.

You get lost in the journey with Floyd, while with Trance you just get lost because you go off your nut, inhibitions gone. Both high quality, some similarities, but I think the differences are greater.
