Question 3 channel mixer

k first off i apologise for yet another noob dj thread but hey we all started sumwhere

basically i just got my decks and now im after a cheap 3 channel mixer.looking thru other threads and online reviews etc im sort of looking at the behringer vmx300 which seems a bargain at £109. has anyone had any probs with this mixer or got any other suggestions for under £200??

behringer are terrible.. dont touch them. i have a gemini ps626

its a great quality budget mixer. not expensive, three channel. you can do plenty with it. mines been around awhile so im thinking of an upgrade, but yeah... if you dont wanna save your money and get something better later(whcih is the smart thing to do) then get the gemini ps626

The 626 is probably the best cheap mixer you can by for mix DJs, I'd recommend that.

As for the VMX, well that line ain't to bad, I know afew people that haven't had any trouble, as for the DJX, thats just a whole lot of trouble.

I beat my VMX300 into the ground, it was a solid mixer. I remember getting shocked by it once of twice, as well as having an occassional crossfader bleed (I rarely used the x-fader tho) but other than that its solid. I remember paying $100 for mine, so don't pay any more and you'll be satisfied!

The Gemini 626 gets another vote from me. I'm unfortunate enough to be getting a Numark DM1002 or something along those lines.
I'd love to just chuck it and get the gemini but that'd just be silly. The Numark should do the trick as i'm also just beginning.

I think, the Gemini is cheaper then your Behringer mixer as well. I THINK!..)

anyway just thought i'd let you know that loads of people have told me to go with the gemini mixer.

you wont regret the VMX 300.

I own one, it is indeed well built, and i have never had a single problem.

It doesnt look great, but then, who really cares. The point is I paid £150 for mine, at £109 you would be foolish to buy the 626 instead.

Just so your prepared, if this is your very first time DJing, then your gonna suck, your gonna suck REALLY bad, like bleeding ears bad, but just keep practicing and you'll get good, this thing isn't a weekend learning experience.
