Ethnic Instruments?

Are there any vst's out there that are solely devoted to ethnic instruments (like sitar's, strings etc)?

Thanks.

Here is something: http://www.swarsystems.com/

Only thing I found last time I tried SwarPlug was that old notes were abruptly cut as you played a new one. But otherwise the quality is very good.

Thanks for that man. I'll check the site out when I get home from work!! The only thing is the bundle thingy is a tad expensive (USD 270) but it would be worth it if it was good.. Does it work perfectly in Cubase SL/SX (apart from the old notes cutting which doesn't sound great)?

From my understanding, Cubase can load VSTis, so yep, it should work.

And you could always try before you buy.

Actually, I notice a set of ADSR sliders in a new screenshot, so it seems they've fixed that note cut issue.

Yeah that EMM Knagalis looks alright. I'll download a demo of it later and if it's any good I'll get it. I also like the look of the "ethno" bundle as well (mainly because of the harp) and I may just plump for that instead. Thanks a million for the help people!!!

Yep. This might be worth looking at as well. It's a bit on the expensive side though but with all those sounds it may be worth it.

I downloaded the demo of EMM Knagalis last night - wasn't that impressed by it to be honest. Whenever I pressed a key on the midi controller it sounded out okay but then as I released the key it sounded out again!!! Maybe this is just supposed to emulate the actual instrument used - I dont know. Also some of the sounds had strange cracks in them that should not have been there. I won't be buying it.
