Ash Wednesday is a time to repent and change your life around and the Ash part is supposed to remind you that death will come to us all
It makes me happy Am I supposed to be sad and crying instead

Dude I can't even drink coke man I have to drink milk, water and juice and can only eat like fish and can't eat meat at all today. I am permitted to have 1 meal which will be one which will leave me full and 1 more meal which is basically a mini meal which is not to be intended on filling you up so yes I am playing by the rules today. Is anyone else actually following the eating rules?
I'm not going to get too sad and will be happy since I am usually happy anyway and since Ash Wednesday is not as doom and gloom as you make it sound
I believe that some really hardcore people are only eating bread today and drinking water

Yes.
I really feel that wishing someone 'happy ash wednesday' is plain rude; so lets not.

Isn't ramadan a happy religious day? Ash Wednesday is by no means happy as LKD pointed out.

Ramadan is not happy until it's over. There's fasting during Ramadan.
