Quick Review - more will come once I can sleep... :)

Ok, here is the quick review (more after I sleep)!

Pre-Meet @ Country Style - it was so good to see everybody come out and talk shop for an hour or so.. More people should come to these - they're a great opportunity to meet in a setting where you can see and actually hear everything someone says..

Peter 'The Greek' - I'm not sure if that was him on the decks when I came in at 11:40... Whoever was on then was 'experimenting' _way_ to much (those who were there, will know what I mean). I don't think it was Peter because about 40 minutes later the music improved and got better up until the point where Matt went on. The 30 mins before Matt went on were great.

Matt Hardwick - WOW!!! Toronto has to get this guy to come back. To be honest, his set was better than Talla and the recent Tiesto set. The uplifting trance didn't stop (from 02:30 to nearly 4:45). This guy is one of the best DJs I have ever seen - he blew my mind playing track after track of _amazing_ trance. I will be sure to check him out again as he has left a lasting impression on me. Go MATT HARDWICK!

TAs at the party - There were so many TAs there - it was amazing. I can't wait to see the pics! Those who I first met there - good to meet you. The regulars I know and love - always a pleasure to party with you guys - you make the parties a blast. I can't wait for Feb 1 to party with you all again!

Man do I love to party with TAs!! Overall an amazing night, thank you everyone and thank MATT HARDWICK! Woo ha!

Quick Review: I have work at 1pm today so gotta make it short.

The event was absolutely amazing. TA's were out in full force as usual. As for Matt Hardwick, simply a class act all the way. We were very fortunate to have an interview with him before his set (Thanks again to Temporal Rhythm and Viva Nightclub for the opportunity). Talk about friendly, down to earth, and just an overall cool guy. Hopefully we'll have the video recorded interview available on the site after some editting.

As for Matt's set, just as Rabbitjoker said, sheer brilliance to the last. I too agree that it was probably one of the best sets I've heard at Viva. It had a great balance of known and unknown tunes and well as some very interesting experimentation towards the end of his set. Matt is certainly a rareity these days. And hopefully we will be graced with his fine music again soon.

time for a rest.. full review to come ..

wahhh, my ears are still ringing. i can totally see why the UKTAs rave about how wikkid hardwick is. he was awesome last night. playing one of the most uplifting trance sets i've heard in a long time. it's strange to say that hearing an uplifting set nowadays is really refreshing for me (heh, contrary to 98-00 ) hardwick was really into it. smiles all night and really diggin the music.

one of the highlights for me was when ALL the TAs at the front began chanting "hardwick, hardwick, hardwick". he just grinned from ear to ear and clapped his hands along with us.

the TAs represented the way it should be @ every party it was great partying alongside all of you. like desidel said, a great mix between known and unknown tunes. it was great hearing albinoni live as well

shout outs to all the TAs in the place last night. including you swampz who i briefly ran into.

looking forward to the pics from elmo and tatty

What an amazing night!!

First off, I noticed Viva has had some renovations...There are tall new speakers, in several places(which did result in a little more ear ringing than normal). 2 new plasma tvs (very nice). A renovated back room,( very cleaned up). With changes like that, you have to be sure that Viva is thriving and will continute to keep brining in amazing headliners (and residents).

Matt Hardwick was fantasitic. It was a very refeshing set for us spoiled and fickle tranceaddicts. I can for once post a review without havning to worry that everyone will say his set was old, or predictable, or whatever. His set was full of energy and from start to finish has an amazing flow to it. Certainly better that anything else in a while.(yes....better than tiesto).

Thanks to the guys who made it possible...
See you at the relaunch..

Peace,
Rich

My Ears are bleeding! LOL!
It was my first time @ Viva and I must say that Beside that other certian club I'm addicted to,Viva is going to be following it very closely...
Matt Hardwick did a superp job giving us quality trance music one track @ a time and I agree with all of you that said his set was better than the No.1 DJ in the world...
Pics are on the way
Cheers,
Shaya

Wow I cant wait for tonight he is coming to Ny ~ club arc. Did Gatecrasher bring in there owner Lazers? They used to throw a party at Limelight and when they came they brought there own super lazer gun Us Ny Ta's had our own night at a club. Trance addict's spinning al night at exit. Check out my review on the Nyta board.

I don't think that Gatecrasher brought in their own lasers.

Peter Ivals rocked my world as always. When he dropped Pocket Damage i went absolutely psycho. I love that song. Harwick was very good. he had excellent track selection and i would definately see this guy again. even though uplifting isnt really my type, he did mix in some hard stuff to keep my happy.

It was just another casual night at VIVA.. you know the regular 40 year old druglords, cracked out kids all over the place etc etc. but it was amazing. they had some HOT women there . too bad they are all like 3 or 4 years older than me . still, i enjoyed my eye candy

funny highlights of the night-

1. being so tired i didnt even know what was going on near the end

2. desidel coming out of nowhere and saying "aren't you too young to be here?" haha you sound like my mom.

3. The ginos that were in front of us. These guys (yes GUYS) were grinding each other, and they werent gay because they had a girl there with them too. The kept going Oh! Oh! Oh! Oh! during the climaxes of songs. i wanted to go up to them and be like "hey guys, palazzo is that way".

4. The guy that was getting a lightshow and kept falling over.

5. Rottwiler (this guys hair kills me)

6. Those girls that were soooo fucked out of their minds and smelt like GARLIC?!

to the regulars: it was nice to party with you again.

new people i met: han solo, lynx da cat, sooper, rottwiler, mosaic.. and i think thats all.

very good party. see you all on feb 1st! hopefully ill have some ultras then
