Bush said he will not rule out military action against Iran. I guess time will tell.. afterall.. this administration lies alot.. so what they say today about anything can turn out to be the opposite!

Something curious though during all the innaugural talk was the constant emphasis on "bringing freedom and democracy to those who don't have it." You could say that rhetoric has already been constantly used to justify the Iraq war after no WMDs were found, but then why would it be used at the initiation of Bush's 2nd term? He's using it now to describe what he's planning to do in the future, which means it doesn't pertain to Iraq. I wouldn't doubt that action might be taken, though who knows what the timetable would be this time. It can't be very soon, since Iraq is still a mess, but maybe a couple years from now.

well, they're not saying it's blantently false. the inaccuracies seem to be centered over the details concerning leadership of said invasion.

I think we can expect another wartime election in 2008.

I think a clearer picture will emerge after the elections in Iraq later this month..if the newly elected leader is pro Iranian and is seen to have ties or infleunced by the Iranian leadership (funding or whatever) i think things could move quicker than people might want or expect..and as the leadership question in Iraq is open to this possibility allready...maybe watch the Iraqi elections first and see what happens...

Do you really think that the Elections will go fair?

I am certain the one who wins is a pro American , and you can guess why that happens.

American mite be selfish, but certianly not stupid. They didnīt invest billions of dollers just to free people and see Democracy that will pick another anti America president.

My vote is 2006 or half of 2006

You've got a point there. I've been expecting Allawi to somehow win just like Karzai did in Afghanistan after being the temporary leader. Given the demographics of Iraq, it would seem logical that a Shi'ite should easily win, but I doubt Bush really spent that money & PR on having a government that might be more like Iran. It would be impossible for Rove, Cheney, Rumsfeld & others to not have realized that when they invaded, no matter how poor some of the planning was.

It's about time america started walking tall and carrying a big stick.

I figure after Iran, we should nuke North Korea, and while we are at it - let's anihilate China and Russia. Then we'll have only few small peanuts left: Sudan, Lybia, Syria, Yemen, and Jordan... and then CANADA, WE'RE COMMING TO LIBERATE YOU!

ALL HAIL BUSH - THE GREAT CONQUEROR!

On the flip side:

One other thing I noticed - Cyrus pays an awful lot of attention to American affairs. Not seen that many posts criticizing Canadian government or actions. I guess Canada must be a country with flawless government.

Thing is thats what i fear most.

That this will happen, because it will devestated entire Iraq. There mite be a civil war and such.

But on the other hand if it doesn't happen, Iraq wouldn't move a step forword.

You must admitt even if you like or dislike Bush. Invading Iraq was one big mistake. It's either done with intention and knowing the results or just miscalculated plan.
