Samedi le 23 Avril 2005 aura lieu le premier concert électronique de la Salle Antoine-Labelle à Laval de 08PM à 03AM

*****TRANCE SENSATION*****

Avec nul autres que :

MARCEL WOODS, Netherlands
Rythmic records, ID&T www.marcelwoods.com

“Musical Madness…”
…what better way to typify Marcel Woods’ life? In less than two years, he managed to appear on the main stages of many major dance festivals, such as Sensation Black, Dance Valley, Trance Energy, Innercity , Antwerp is Burning and Defqon 1. Clearly, Marcel’s tough ‘TechTrance’ appeals to a very wide audience.
Woods’ first big commercial success as a producer was ‘De Bom’, released by Byte Records in 2001. This track not only took the European charts by storm, but was also a big hit in the USA, China, Korea, Japan, Spain and Mexico. Since then, Marcel has become an established producer who still manages to infuse his records with a strong ‘underground’ feeling. The fact this has not gone unnoticed is demonstrated by his presence on the playlists of top DJ’s worldwide and varied remix-assignments.
For example, he remixed a track for DJ Sammy’s new albums and remixed the track ‘Strange Morning In December’ by Oliver Klitzing (Reeloop, Kaylab). One of Marcel’s earlier remixes ended up at # 6 in the U.S. BillBoard Chart. His own releases on the ID&T-label also feature many bestsellers. The last two reached the # 1 spot in The Dutch Dance Chart. His track “Time’s Running Out” featured on the playlists of many DJ’s, such as Tiësto, Marco V, Paul van Dijk, Anne Savage and DJ Luna.

His live appearances at major festivals and popular DJ sets which are distributed through the internet helped rapidly increase Woods’ fame. Together with Erick Morillo, Marcel is one of the fastest movers in the Dutch DJ Awards list, in which he is currently at 28. In the leading DJMag top 250he entered at 167. Quite an achievement, especially bearing Marcel’s motto in mind: “I’m in it for the love of the music, not for the love of the spotlight”. However, the fast growing number of overseas bookings and his stamp-filles passport make clear that Marcel Woods will remain in the spotlights for some time. In addition, Marcel runs the successful Rytmic Records label and manages various artists such as Walt & Feliz, Showtek and DJ Duro. Despite his success, Marcel Woods remains a typically level-headed Dutchman, who regards his work as an ‘overgrown’ hobby and remains highly critical of his own achievements: “I’m always thinking I could do better... the sky is the limit!’”

Andy Farley , UK
Blue cubed records, Nukleuz, Tidy, www.andyfarley.com

Andy Farley is a dance music legend. Over the past five years he's risen to the pinnacle of the scene with his breathtaking skills and ability to pioneer new sounds.

Andy's passionate drive and undying love for the harder edged sound have cemented his place in the hearts of clubbers. His reputation as one of the most professional, down to earth DJs on the circuit is reflected in his demand from the UK's top clubs including Godskitchen, Gatecrasher, Slinky, Passion, Cream and Tidy.

Andy is the master of a big crowd. He headlined the twenty five thousand capacity Impulz & 4 Elements event in Holland, and has played almost every high profile festival in Europe such as Global Gathering, Creamfields, and Dance Valley.

Internationally Andy's popularity continues to soar, with hard coring followings in South Africa, New Zealand, Australia and Asia. In 2003 he was voted the 54th Best DJ in the World by DJ Mag. In between club and tour commitments this year Andy is focussing his talents on studio productions, collaborating with BK, Prime Mover and Dave the Drummer.

Andy's first major break came in 1989, when he entered a DJ competition at The Nightingale Club in Birmingham, the club made famous by the the late Tony De Vit. Andy did that well he was later offered a residency, which he then held for more than four years.

He began to establish a true cult following when he started playing at Tin Tin's, a small after hours club in the Birmingham area. It was this that then lead to his residency at Sundissential and in the years that followed Andy secured his place as one of the top DJs in the hard dance scene.

2004 brings a new level of demand for Andy Farley, with the UK's biggest clubs each vying to be a part of his plans for the future. No longer confined to the limitations of hard dance the time has come for Andy Farley to stamp his authority on the worldwide dance scene - an artist not afraid to lead from the front and do things his way.

Phil Reynolds & James
James Lawson, UK
Nukleuz records, www.edisonfactor.net

James Lawson is a true legend in the making. With over 50 production/remix credits to his name his trademark blend of crisp production and hands-in-the-air riffs has made him one of the fastest rising talents in the UK and abroad.

A DJ First and foremost, James’ experience and exceptional skill have seem him grace the decks at some of the UK’s top clubs including Extreme Euphoria, Godskitchen, Tidy and many more. His popularity in both Australia and New Zealand continues to soar, and he regularly headlines gigs in these territories as well as Finland, Norway and Bosnia.

2002 was the year James started to shine as a producer, his tune ‘Times Like These’ became a massive club anthem and made number 14 in the UK Dance Chart. His remix of Alphazone’s ‘Stay’ received massive support from Radio One, and he was awarded Tune of the month by DJ Magazine for his remix of Justin Bourne and Jay Pidgeon’s ‘Hardcore Noise’.

By the end of 2002 James finished up with 6 tracks/remixes on the massively successful Extreme Euphoria Album mixed by Lisa Lashes, more than any other producer before him. In an article in The Times (Dec 2002), Lashes listed 5 of James’ tracks in her Top 10 for 2002, saying ‘Any DJ who doesn’t have a James Lawson track in their record bag should be shot for bad taste!’

The accolades continued to roll in the following year, with iDJ Magazine naming James ‘One to Watch in 2003’, describing him as ‘one of the hottest producers to hit the hard dance scene in ages’.

When he’s not working on solo projects, James is one half of the Edison Factor. He and partner Matt Williams started writing their own collaboration of hard edged dance with a strong trancey element several years ago. Their first track ‘Nervous Breakdown’ was signed to Freezing Point and the all time classic ‘The Beginning’ was their follow up track!

Collaborations with Anne Savage, BK and Nick Sentience firmly under his belt, 2004 is set to be the biggest yet for James Lawson. He is one of a new breed of DJ/Producers coming up the ranks bristling with exciting ideas - a young gun pushing the scene forward, a future Hero of Extreme Dance.

Press:

James Lawson’s tunes are constantly reviewed in leading industry magazines such as Mixmag, iDJ, DJ and M8. He has been given tune of the month on 5 separate occasions in one year alone. James has been featured in DJ Magazine, M8 Magazine and several online dance music publications
