Im studying GCSE music at the moment so yea i wud say i hav musical background

djing and production are two different things

if you want to create it...thas production...if you want to mix it thats djing

but dont go out and buy fancy equipment and shit, download the demo of fruityloops and they have a website type it in google or go by tracktor....also if you want to learn to DJ you can go to www.recess.co.uk or go on Amazon.com and by HOW TO DJ RIGHT...its a great book on learning how to DJ for newbs and people that are advanced if you live in the uk i think its called HOW TO DJ PROPERLY but its only like $20 and itll get you started pretty quickly..but remember only by equipment if your sure you want to do it and now how to set up the equipment properly..dont buy equipment decide you dont like it then put it in your closet....its takes a long time to learn..lots of dedication!
