Nomen Nescio - Don't push me (Ferry Corsten Style)
Hey trancelovers,
I am back with a new track. A shorter fast paced bit of darker trance tune this time. Would like to know what you people think of it. I am quite happy with the power and energy in the track.
The track is called "Don't push me" and you can listen to it here.

Listening,
The kick is too loud, does not let you listen fine the bass and the clap and makes distortion.
The track itself is not bad,a bit bored imo,I just would recommend you to work your mastering man, because the track is pretty dirty .

hi menno,
i think it is a great track again.especially when the lead goes up later in the track.the highs could perhaps need some work.

Thanks for the input so far. I have worked on the highs a bit already. I also have turned down the volume of the kick a bit, although kicks are a matter of taste. I usually get comments that my kicks are too soft so in this track I am quite satisfied with the beat
Kick has been turned down a bit. Eq'ed the track a bit better with less treble. And I have given the various pads and sounds a space of their own by stereo imaging them.
I am quite happy with the sound quality myself. Anyone else cares to comment?

I don't know why TA producers put (such and such artist style) next to their track name like if that's going to make the fans of that artist like the track even more than if they didn't put that.
Anyway, Ferry Corsten doesn't come to mind when listening to this... I get more of a MIKE feeling from listening to this..
The mix is a bit muddy and I think the track is too loud... it peaks on my meters and it sounds a bit distorted... try looking into turning the track volume down next time you record.
yes, kick is too loud
baseline is too basic
you trying to merge psy with hard trance?

Have heard some comments of local dj's here who liked the kick. I normally also make the kick less loud. But to answer your question, I am not trying to merge psy with hard trance but I wanted to make a harder track this time instead of a flowing more commercial kind of track. I am trying to make every track sound a bit different even in style.
Thanks all for the advice. Many things are a matter of personal taste I guess.
On last thing I would like to know what exactly sounds muddy in the track? I have been listening to it over and over again and most of the sounds sound crips and have a place of their own in the stereospectrum. But I am not using topnotch mastering speakers of headphones. So tips/advice is very much appreciated!
