where do you get ur mp3 single tracks from?

where does everyone get there cd singles ?? Or mp3s or whatever ?? I mean you can download them free off some places right?? but i'm sure the quality isn't great... but if your a bedroom dj is it ok to do so??? just wondering where and what everyone does for the singles on cd ??
