For the DJs in here, what mixer do you recommend for someone starting out w/ DJing?

any mixer will do, just make sure to get one that has all 3 EQ bands, and solid channel volume controls. Stanton, Vestax would be the place to look for good pricing.

Numark has very reasonable entry level mixers as well as some sick higher-end shit

For a good low cost mixer, but pretty much exact replica of the pioneer 500 get the behringer 700. One of the best mixers for the money.

a lot of people have issues with that behringer. craps out and the sound is no good.
the best deal right now is the vestac pcv-275 at $300. you couldnt touch those for under $450 a couple of months ago.
similar insides to the 180 except the 275 has line level indicators which is very important to me.
