Basement Humidity & DJ Gear

Recently I moved my set up (2 Turntables and a mixer) down into my basement. My basement has some Humidity issues, even tho I have a dehumidifier.

Can the humidity damage my dj gear and/or vinyl?

Thanks in advance.

yes.

not so much your vinyl, but definately the gear. if the dehumidifyer is not working then its not the right one for your basement. either add another unit or get a bigger one.

most people dont realize that almost all basements have humidity. unless you live in the desert.
