I finally had the chance to listen to these at a store. I had the Technics in one hand and the Pioneers in the other. I seriously spent almost an hour switching back and forth and honestly, the only diffrence I could hear was that the Poineers had just a bit more bass. I ended up buying the Technics since the swivel joints looked so much stronger than the Pioneers and I know they will last. You guys gotta stop crying about the weight, they don't make my neck sore or tired so I would recommend them.

My mate got his pair last month they are great, he paid about £100 brand new off ebay.

I dont think the weight of them is that bad its not gonna break your neck lol, I think the wieght issue is just because they are really well built.

They are pretty tight though, when you have them around your neck you dont get much head movement. But at least you know there not gonna fall off your head when you are wearing them.

Thumbs up from me.

what about the RP-DJ1210s?
http://www.panasonic-europe.com/tec...rodid=RP-DJ1210

saw a white model once that looked rather spiffy

one thing id be worried about tho is if the swing arm would ever get flimsy with age and eventually lose grip and just kinda hang... anybody know if this is a realistic problem or if Technics have built them with that in mind?

I am looking into getting a set of these. I know Armin uses them now, and they look really nice. The only thing i have heard bad about them (apart from the weight) is the isolation of the cup isn't that great.

Might have to take a closer look now there have been some positive reviews

I've got a pair of the techs and I love 'em. They may be a little heavier than some of the other leading brands, but by God, they are NOT that heavy. Some of you people are making it sound like you have a car around your neck. The best thing I like about the techs is they don't lose their shape. I have the sony mdr-v700djs also, and it seems like they lost their shape very quickly. They got really loose really fast. Techs keep their figure. I keep the sonys hooked to the computer at home, and the techs get to go out to all the gigs now.

Rock On,

Mike
