Let me clear something up for ya.

Absinthe was made legal in the US not to long ago (Maxim did an article on it as well).

However the absinthe that is sold in the US has a lower thujone(the active ingredient in wormwood) count, only 6 parts per million I believe. So you can buy absinthe at liquor stores, but it wont be the same stuff that they were drinkin back in the day.

Your best bet to get the good stuff would be to import it from europe. Or if you have a friend going over to have him/her send a bottle back.
